British Open 2010 â John Daly has a great start at St. Andrews
If you are a big golf fan you know this is where it all started. At least this is where we think it did. When the name of your golf club has both the words Ancient and Royal on it, you sure know this is as fine as it gets when it comes to the golfing world. The Open Championship was first played on October 17, 1860 at the Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. In 1873, they made the move and played at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
Whenever the British Open returns to St. Andrews, there is some sort of mysticism and devotion among the sport’s purist. This is one of the finest most traditional tournaments in the world. And it is played on a course that dates back to at least the 16th Century. Every six years or so, the British Open finds its way to the 18-hole course. The legendary course futures seven huge double greens. Both the golf course and the competition have both seen great players over its plentiful greens.
The great Jack Nicklaus won here twice, in 1970 and 1978, and this was also the golf course where the great Tiger Woods

You may have been wondering what sport bracelet Ian Poulter was wearing at The Open in St Andrews yesterday. Along with Poulter, Andrew Coltart and Ricky Barnes have all been seen sporting a Power Balance bracelet, a new innovation in performance technology that uses holograms embedded with frequencies that react positively with your body’s natural energy field.
With the extreme weather conditions at The Open this weekend the Golfers will need all the help they can get to cope with the wind and rain that has been falling over the course at St Andrews and a Power Balance could provide the answer. Users of the Power Balance hologram wrist band have reported improvements in balance, strength and flexibility when wearing the product.
Power Balance has become a favourite with Golfers due to the benefits they aim to provide to help with performance and general wellbeing. The Power Balance silicone wristband comes equipped with two visible Power Balance holograms. The 3mm thick wristband is made from 100% surgical grade silicone that is extremely durable, featuring a 40% stretch feature for extra stretch over the hands.
Available in range of colours and sizes a Power Balance is

Sometimes I wonder, is this just Tiger Woods’ World and we just so happen to live in it too? I am sure any citizen living in the United States that has watched at least 3 minutes of news on any major media outlet over the past several months can recall that Tiger Woods cheated on his now estranged wife Elin Nordegren, right?
Well, if not, here it is. Back in late November of 2009, Tiger Woods was injured in a one-car accident outside of his home, near the Orlando, Florida area during the very early hours of the morning. Early reports suggested that Woods crashed into a tree, just yards from his driveway and that wife Elin had smashed a window open with a golf club to get to him.
The mainstream and regional media outlets went crazy with running this story all day long, as it soon became worldwide news that the greatest golfer in the world, Tiger Woods, had been in a car accident. My initial thoughts were, “Oh, my God! I hope Tiger is okay,” but then as the story unfolded, it seemed odd that Elin would smash his window open with a golf club to get to him.

Many newer golfers (and a few older ones, too) have a tendency to misalign themselves when they take their stance. Normally, what they will do is aim way right of the target and they do this for a reason. Players who are misaligned from the get go and aim right are usually players who try to swing with their arms. When they do this the ball will almost always take off to the left. So what they are doing with this “right side” target trick is trying to fix a problem before it even happens! In theory, this shouldn’t be a problem…but this is not theory, it’s golf. When an “arm swinger” forces his ball back on the fairway by overcompensating his alignment, he thinks he’s doing himself a favor. But on those occasions when he actually makes a good, solid full body swing, his ball zips off into the trees on the right or into a right side bunker and he gets mad, and what’s worse is that by using this misaligning method he’s never going to reach his full potential as a golfer.(Get discount golf clubs)These players need to work on the basics
