Multi-material Technology – Club composed of a 17-4 SS body, thin 475 super steel face, and high density tungsten nickel sole. Properly utilizing these materials increases the moment of inertia, making this hybrid more forgiving and also creates higher launch and less spin for a higher but flatter penetrating ball flight.   Tungsten Nickel Sole – Discretionary weight saved from the thin 475 SS face and other non-high stress areas is put back in the tungsten nickel sole as weight pads that are strategically placed along the back skirt of the club to bring the CG down and back. This provides a hybrid that launches the ball high for soft approach shots, but also has a penetrating trajectory for maximum distance.   Sloped Crown Design – Helps bring the CG further down and away from the face resulting in a club that is easy to control from any turf conditions.   Robotic Plasma Weld – Very accurate and consistent welds improve the consistency and durability of the face while saving weight, which can be redistributed throughout the club head.   Exceptional Aesthetics – Simple, but eye

Why Golf Hypnosis Is Not Just a Placebo

By Jerry J. Jansen On December 10, 2009 NO COMMENTS

I noticed an advertisement for a golf training DVD which referred to golf hypnosis as “just a placebo”. It made me realize once again that the majority of people (who do not know what hypnosis really is) jump to this same incorrect conclusion.

Scientific research has in fact proven that hypnosis creates activity in a different part of the brain from that which is related to the placebo effect. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool in enhancing anything which involves using your mind, and golf has got to be the most mental game there is. Hypnosis is incredibly effective in helping you to get your mind around golf and to acquire the calm focus which this great game inevitably requires.

But let’s not knock the placebo effect either. The placebo is no little thing to be dismissed as insignificant. The placebo has enormous power. In drug studies it is acknowledged that the placebo effect is seen in 20 – 30% of participants; this is not to be “sniffed at”. The fact is that simply by thinking that something will work, it will indeed work for 20 – 30% of the population. It really does pay to be a believer, or to

As most of the people know, there are shoes for nearly each sport imaginable.  There are very few sports that don’t have a special shoe that is planned to improve the way you play while wearing them.  Yet many people cannot afford to always purchase all of the extra sports equipment like shoes that are required.  Many golf beginners often ponder whether it is really critical to purchase golf shoes to basically play golf.  In trying to balance money concerns with safety issues there are a couple of things that you must keep in mind.

Golf Shoes Have Limited Use

Your prime concern should be your skill level.  A beginner golfer usually can’t explain the cost to buy golfing shoes.  They’re definitely not inexpensive, and since they are only worn while on the golf course they have a really limited usage outside the golf course.  While tennis and basketball shoes can be worn in different circumstances, the golf shoes must stay on the golf course to avoid damaging them, or the flooring on which you are walking over.

Choosing Comfortable Golf Shoes

If you are a highly skilled player or maybe have a tendency to play quite regularly you may want to invest in a good pair of
